Question 132: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if the responsibility for providing funding for street lighting outside of schools lies with the Department of Education and Skills or with the local authority. [28938/11]

Under the Roads Act 1993 the provision of street lighting is a matter for the relevant local authority and the Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport. I have no function in this matter.
