Question 437: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the percentage of his capital programme for 2008, 2009, 2010 that was awarded to companies outside of this jurisdiction; the monetary value attached to that percentage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information sought across the range of my Department's capital programmes is not readily available, or collected in respect of all capital works funded through my Department's capital programmes. All procurement is required to be carried out by contracting authorities in line with all national and EU guidelines, which do not allow the exclusion of any company on the basis of origin. Compilation of the information sought would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work.
