The Community Welfare Service (CWS) transferred to the Department on secondment with effect from 1 January 2011 for a period of 9 months. During this time CWS staff remain employees of the HSE and retain their current terms and conditions of employment. The intention is to have the staff fully transferred and integrated into the Department by the end of September this year. Work is well in hand to give effort to this transfer.
