Question 208: To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if the review of the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest Act 2009 (No. 2) 2009 has commenced; when it is likely to be completed; when it is likely to be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (No.2) Act, 2009 provided for the reduction in remuneration of public servants with effect from 1 January 2010. Section 7 of the Act required that the Minister for Finance undertake a review of the operation, effectiveness and impact of this Act, having regard to the overall economic conditions in the State and national competitiveness before 30 June 2011. The review was completed and a report laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas on the 30 June. The report is available on the website of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform at http://per.gov.ie/public-service-pay-policy/
