Question 125: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to regulations applied by local authorities requiring small, community based organisations to register for tax as a voluntary non-profit making organisation if they are to be in a position to benefit from small support grants known as the councillors allocation in certain local authorities (details supplied); his views that this requirement should be reassessed in view of its restrictive and overly bureaucratic nature; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
