In response to the Deputy's question, the Secretary General of the Department of Finance is a member of the Advisory Committee of the National Assets Management Agency but does not accept remuneration in respect of the position. In addition, the Secretary General was appointed to the Central Bank Commission in an ex-officio capacity and he also receives no fees in respect of this role. Both of these Bodies come under the aegis of my Department. The Secretary General is also a member of the National Economic and Social Council which comes under the aegis of the Department of the Taoiseach. There is no remuneration for this role. The Secretary General of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform sits on the Commission for Public Service Appointments for which he receives no fees.
