Question 276: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he will publish a list of outstanding capital works on all primary and secondary schools in County Clare particularly a school (details supplied); the timeline for their completion; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that all information in respect of the current school building programme along with all assessed applications for major capital works, is available on my Department's website at www.education.ie.

A project at the school to which he refers is at an advanced stage of the architectural planning process. The school authority has advised my Department that Stage 2(b) - Detailed Design, including planning permission and tender documents, will be submitted to my Department shortly.

When the relevant statutory approvals have been obtained and Stage 2b completed, and assuming no issues arise, my Department will subsequently be in contact with the school authority with regard to progressing the project to tender and construction stages. It is not possible at this stage of the project to give an indication of the timeframe for completion of the subsequent tender and construction stages.

Applications have been received from 34 primary and 7 post primary schools in County Clare for funding for major capital projects. For the Deputy's convenience, I have set out below details of these applications together with the current status of each application.
