The Motorised Transport Grant supports people with a severe disability to purchase/adapt a car for travel to and from work. The eligibility criteria is governed by a circular issued by the Department. It is not proposed to change the current circular. I have asked the Health Service Executive to provide the Deputy with the details requested in relation to the number of unsuccessful applications for the grant this year.

I have asked my colleague the Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport to provide the Deputy with the information requested regarding the Rural Transport Scheme.
