The Office of Public Works received a number of funding applications from Kerry County Council on 31 May 2011 under the Minor Flood Works & Coastal Protection Scheme. These applications include a request for funding to undertake embankment strengthening works at Cromane. The proposals received are currently being assessed in accordance with the scheme criteria and having regard to the overall availability of resources for flood risk management.
