Question 223: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the amount of funding allocated to An Taisce for each of the years 2003 to 2011; if funding was ever stopped or withdrawn during that period and if so the reason for same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has since 2003 continued to provide funding to An Taisce in respect of a range of environmental activities which it has undertaken, including the National Spring Clean initiative; surveying in respect of the Irish Business Against Litter initiative; the Green Schools initiative; and the Blue Flag Awards. Details of the funding provided in the relevant years are set out in the table.
