Question 127: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources his views on the illegal downloading of music; if he has any plans to bring forward legislation to counteract this growing problem for artists and the music industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue of illegal downloading of music or other material is a copyright protection issue and as such comes within the policy area of the Department of Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation. Any proposals for legislation to protect against infringement of copyright by any means is a matter for that Department.
