Question 391: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if he is satisfied, regarding the transfer of responsibility from the Rape Crisis Network Ireland to the Health Service Executive and that the HSE is capable of providing accurate and effective data collection on the incidence of child sex abuse and rape; if he will provide assurances about the reliability of the method of information collection envisaged; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The HSE has been considering changes in the arrangements for funding organisations that provide domestic, sexual and gender-based violence services, including the Rape Crisis Network Ireland. However, it has been decided to extend the current funding to the Network until 1st August to allow me to review these proposals.
