Question 210: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if he has made an assessment of the impact on plans for the new children's hospital following the resignation of the chief executive officer of the projects development board; his proposals to deal with this new situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand the CEO of the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board is being offered the post of CEO of Tallaght Hospital. She will not be leaving her current post until later in the year. It is anticipated that the recently initiated review of the National Children's Hospital project will have been completed before she leaves.

Any decision with regard to the future of the Project will be taken based on the outcome of the Review. In all consideration of matters relating to this Project it is my intention to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for children within the resources available.
