Question 481: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason funding has been withdrawn from an organisation (details supplied) which deal with the response to domestic violence; the steps he has taken to ensure that the expertise built up by this group will be retained; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The HSE has been considering changes in the arrangements for funding organisations that provide domestic, sexual and gender-based violence services, including Safe Ireland. However, it has been decided to extend the current funding to this organisation until 1st August to allow me to review these proposals.
