Question 449: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if his Department has a shareholding in a company (details supplied); if so, the percentage of same; if there was a tendering process prior to the appointment of the company to its role in the monitoring of the use of farm-saved seed and the collection of royalties for same; if there is a cost to the State associated with the operation of the company; and if there is, the cost of same annually. My Department does not have any shares in the Plant Variety Development Office and incurs no costs in relation to its operations.
