Question 351: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the former Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government approved funding of €2 million in respect of proposals for the regeneration of the eastern quadrant of Sligo; if he will indicate the townlands and or district electoral divisions that make up what is described as the eastern quadrant of Sligo; the location at which a map of the eastern quadrant of Sligo is available for inspection; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No 248 of 10 May, 2011 which sets out the position in relation to funding for regeneration in Sligo.

It will be a matter for Sligo Borough Council, in the context of the development of a masterplan for the regeneration project, to determine the areas to be included for regeneration.
