Question 416: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide a detailed breakdown of projected savings from the merging of the National Road Authority and Rail Procurement Agency; and the additional costs foreseen in the setting up of said merged body; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Report of the Steering Group on the Merger of the National Roads Authority and the Railway Procurement Agency, which is available on my Department's website, examines costs and savings in Chapter 11. The Steering Group considered that a saving of €3 to €4 million could be achieved in the medium term.
