There are no specific assessments, reviews or reports being carried out by my Department under the terms of the EU/IMF Programme of Financial Support.
My Department, in common with all other Government Departments, is required to make periodic financial and staff returns to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform as part of the on-going monitoring and management of public expenditure process.
In order to provide the Government with a comprehensive set of decision options to meet the funding constraints in the National Recovery Plan, 2012-2014, my Department is currently in the process of carrying out a comprehensive review of public expenditure, which will be sent to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform over the coming months. I have invited the consultancy companies Accenture and KPMG to advise me on carrying out the review on a pro bono basis.
