The total budget allocation for the Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme for 2011 is €10.177 million.

This Programme is currently under consideration by my Department and is expected to be finalised in the near future.

Greencastle harbour is owned by Donegal County Council and responsibility for the maintenance and development of the harbour rests with that local authority in the first instance. My Department has however, in recent years, project managed works on phase one of the Greencastle Harbour development project on behalf of Donegal County Council as well as providing funding.

Donegal County Council and my own Department are continuing to explore various mechanisms by which the Greencastle project might be advanced.
