Question 122: To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality in view of the economic downturn and in particular the difficulty that this poses for law graduates in securing a firm of solicitors to provide the sponsorship for them to enable them to complete their legal education, if he will consider introducing an amendment to the law whereby solicitor firms can be allowed to take on apprentices without being obliged to pay them to complete their education; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
