Question 651: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the detail of all permanent Civil Service or non-established positions which are in place in his Department in relation to assisting Ministers with constituency work; the monthly salaries for these positions; and if any further appointments are envisaged. The details of the staff in my own office and those of the two Ministers of State in my Department dealing with constituency work are set out in Table 1. The appointments are in keeping with the Department of Finance Guidelines on the staffing of Ministerial Offices. As indicated a number of staff are availing of worksharing options.
The salaries for the positions concerned are not paid on a monthly basis. Accordingly I have shown the equivalent annual salary scale for each position in Table 2. Table 1 – Constituency staff details
