I propose to take Questions Nos. 615 to 617, inclusive, together.

The Government is committed to reforming our model of healthcare delivery so that more and better quality care is delivered in the community. It is my intention that over time access to modern mental health services in the community will be significantly improved. It is proposed to ring-fence €35m annually from within the health budget to develop community mental health teams and services to ensure early access to more appropriate services for both adults and children.

It is envisaged that the provision of improved community based services will ensure that people with mental health problems receive the treatment and after-care support needed to facilitate recovery.
