Question 602: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if standard guidance for the evaluation, treatment and monitoring of children with 1p36 deletion syndrome in Ireland like those advocated by the American Academy of Pediatrics exist; and if so if he will give an account of same and if not the steps he will take to arrange for the production of guidance that could be made available to both health professionals and parents. The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. Therefore I have asked the Health Service Executive to supply the necessary information to me and I will forward it to the Deputy as soon as possible.
