I propose to take Questions Nos. 475 and 476 together.

In line with the commitment in the Government Programme for National Recovery, I recently announced the establishment of a committee to review the Thornton Hall Prison Project. The full terms of reference are available on my Department's website at www.justice.ie.

Advertisements were placed in the national press in the week commencing 11 April inviting written submissions or observations from interested parties. All such submissions should be sent to the Chairman, Thornton Hall Project Review Committee, Department of Justice and Equality, Montague Court, Montague Street, Dublin 2 and must be received by Monday 9th May, 2011. It is a matter for the committee to consider whether they wish to hold meetings with any interested parties to assist in their deliberations.
