I can inform the Deputy that the following amounts were paid to solicitors under the Criminal and Civil Legal Aid (including Refugee Legal Services) schemes during the period 2006-2010. I will forward more detailed information to the Deputy when it becomes available. The Deputy should note, however, that I may not be in a position to provide all of the details requested, as to do so might involve the disproportionate use of staff and other resources.
