The programme of refurbishment of Garda accommodation around the country is based on agreed priorities established by An Garda Síochána. This work is progressed by the Office of Public Works, who have responsibility for the provision and maintenance of Garda accommodation.
I am advised by the Garda authorities that the station referred to by the Deputy is recognised as a property that will require alterations to ensure that accessibility requirements are met. Prior to developing proposals for such remedial work a Universal Access Audit will be conducted by the Office of Public Works.
