An application for domiciliary care allowance was received on the 10th November 2009. This application was referred to one of the Department's Medical Assessors who found that the child in question was not medically eligible for the allowance. A letter issued on the 14th December 2009 where the customer was advised of the decision. The customer subsequently lodged an appeal against this decision and she was informed by the Social Welfare Appeals Office on the 10th December 2010 that the appeal had not been allowed.

The decision/appeal process for this application is now complete. All the information available at that time was provided to the appeals officer before the appeal was considered.
