Question 320: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason no healthy eating guidelines have been issued to schools; if he will issue these guidelines as part of the social personal health education programme and its health promotion policy; when he will issue these guidelines; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has undertaken a review to update the healthy eating guidelines. Revised guidelines are now being finalised in conjunction with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland. The revised guidelines will be distributed to the education system and elsewhere as soon as they are available.
