I propose to commence a review of the regulatory regime for airport charges later this year. At this stage is too early to say when this process will be completed.

Question 442: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will make available details of his Department's submission to the European Commission in respect of a complaint by a company (details supplied) regarding the regime for airport regulatory charges, which the company alleges breached Article 106 of the treaty on the functioning of the EU. The complaint referred to by the Deputy is under investigation by the European Commission. The Commission requested a response from my Department and in reply a submission has been made. In the circumstances, it would be inappropriate to publish this while the matter is still under investigation.
