Question 61: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will confirm that the annual car tax renewal for a car (details supplied) has been increased from €333 in 2010 to €447 in 2011, which amounts to an increase of approximately 33 33%; if it is proposed to review this increase in the next budget; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not in a position to confirm the matter raised in the question. Motor tax rates were last increased in the budget of 2009 and the increases took effect from 1 January 2009.
