Question 12: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding a request from a school (details supplied) in County Waterford to have the application for a permanent school advanced to the architectural planning stage and to upgrade the priority rating to band 1.1; when a decision on this application will issue; her views on this school being left without a permanent school for the past 25 years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to advise the Deputy, that a project to provide a new school building for the school to which he refers, has been announced as one of the projects to commence the process of appointing a design team under my Department's 2011 Multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme. My officials will be in further contact with the school authority in due course relating to the steps to be taken to progress the project.
