1The total amounts paid to staff in the Head Office areas of my Department in respect of mileage (kilometre) expenses was in the region of €86,000 in 2007, €94,000 in 2008, €52,000 in 2009 and €47,000 in 2010.

1Mr Barry Andrews, T.D., Minister of State with special responsibility for Children and Youth Affairs, is the only Minister of State attached to my Department. However, as the Department of Health and Children is responsible for the staffing of his office, I understand that the Minister for Health and Children is providing the information requested.
