Question 162: To ask the Minister for Finance if he will provide details regarding contractual arrangements entered into by him arising from the proposal to decentralise Government offices to a location in County Cork (details supplied); if the site in question has been paid for, if so the amount paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The proposed decentralisation to Kanturk, County Cork, is scheduled to be reviewed by the Government in 2011. The Commissioners of Public Works have not entered into any contractual arrangements concerning the proposal to decentralise Government offices to Kanturk. In this regard, neither a site has been purchased nor money paid.
