The custom and practice in relation to Civil Servants on sick leave is that they are not replaced for the period of sick leave in question. The policy for dealing with work related stress is that the officers who report such stress to either local management or Personnel Division and who continue to work are made aware of the services of their Employee Assistance Officer. Officers on sick leave who cite work related stress as the cause of absence are referred to the Chief Medical Officer.
