Question 185: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the position regarding the awarding of an apprenticeship which has been held up in a dispute over standards as against time served and the reason a person (details supplied) has not received their due accreditation; and when they will receive same. This is an operational matter for FÁS, the national training authority responsible for the operation of the apprenticeship system in Ireland.
However, I understand that the apprentice in question is fully aware of his status and that FAS continues to work with him to facilitate his progression to certification.
