Question 268: To ask the Minister for Health and Children if she will ascertain from the Health Service Executive West the number of appeals that were lodged with an appeals officer in 2009; the number that were dealt with and of those the number that were successful or unsuccessful, on a monthly basis in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the information sought by the Deputy is not provided by the Health Service Executive (HSE) to my Department as a matter of routine, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to address these matters and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
