Question 483: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the cost of each of the non-commercial State agencies under his aegis; the total number of employees, including those on non-permanent contracts, in each of those agencies; the total personnel costs for each agency, including pension costs; the financial amount and percentage of any reduction or increase in personnel costs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can inform the Deputy that the cost to the Exchequer in 2010 for each of the non-commercial State Agencies under the aegis of my Department and the number of whole time equivalent (WTE) staff employed in each agency as at 30 September 2010 are set out in the table below. In relation to the other elements of the question I would refer the Deputy to the Annual Reports and Accounts of each Agency and point out that these are operational matters for the Agencies concerned.

The amount of land owned by the Agencies under the aegis of my Department and the mapping of these lands is a matter for the agencies in question, and I have no function in that regard.
