Question 148: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the value of the pension payment on an annualised basis to the highest paid public sector pensioner in each of the public bodies under the remit of her Department and all public service pensioners not paid by the Office of the Paymaster General; the number in receipt of this level of pension; the total number in receipt of a pension in excess of €155,000 and in each bracket below this at intervals of €20,000. My Department administers the payment of pension benefits to beneficiaries of Teachers Primary, Secondary, Community and Comprehensive Superannuation schemes and certain other education personnel in primary and voluntary secondary schools, e.g. special needs assistants. The attached table outlines the information sought by the Deputy in relation to these pension schemes. Information in relation to pay or pensions in the public bodies under the remit of my Department is not readily available as the information is not collated centrally.
