Question 195: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills if she will review a decision by the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee not to award a person (details supplied) a student grant; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the course this person is intending to pursue is listed as an accepted course on the studentfinance.ie website; if she will note that the further education college involved offers a unique number of Level 8 courses due to its expertise in the media and arts; if she will instruct her officials to award this person a grant. My Department has received an appeal from the candidate referred to by the Deputy which is currently under review and it is anticipated a reply will issue to the student shortly.
