Question 587: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food his plans to introduce an independent appeals mechanism to be undertaken by his Department at the meat plants in order to ensure farmers are paid fairly and correctly for their cattle in view of the recent cattle grading controversy of meat plants and the failure of the mechanical grading machine and the losses incurred by farmers.
