Question 197: To ask the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the number of unprompted voluntary disclosures made by his Department to the Revenue Commissioners in the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and to date in 2010 under the headings employer issues PAYE and PRSI, value added tax, public service withholding tax and relevant contracts tax; if, in relation to these unprompted voluntary disclosures, he will provide a summary of the tax, interest and penalties collected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Question 199: To ask the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if he will provide details of tax audits carried out by the Revenue Commissioners on his Department in the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and to date in 2010 under the headings employer issues PAYE and PRSI, value added tax, public service withholding tax and relevant contracts tax; if, in relation to the audits, he will provide an analysis of the results, including the amount of tax, interest and penalties assessed and collected; the number of audits in which incorrect operation was discovered but no assessment was entered; the number of audits in which operation was found in order; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 197 to 199, inclusive, together.
My Department has made no voluntary disclosures or settlements with the Revenue Commissioners of the nature referred to by the Deputy, nor did the Revenue Commissioners carry out any tax audits of my Department in the period referred to by the Deputy.
