Question 105: To ask the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 125 of 24 June 2010, the options available to a female resident in a direct provision centre to which a male general practitioner has been assigned by the Health Service Executive if they do not wish to visit a male GP for personal, cultural or religious reasons; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The general rules underpinning eligibility for general practitioner services were outlined in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 125 of 24 June 2010. As the issue raised in this PQ is an operational matter, I will forward to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for direct reply to the Deputy.
