Since my appointment as Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, I have made three appointments to the Western Development Commission. There are currently two vacancies on the board of the Equality Authority and five vacancies on the board of the Family Support Agency.

With regard to the North-South Implementation Bodies coming within the ambit of my Department, I have nominated one member to the board of the Ulster-Scots Agency/Tha Boord o Ulstèr-Scotch, who was subsequently appointed by the North South Ministerial Council. A second member nominated to that board by the Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure in Northern Ireland was due to be appointed yesterday by the North South Ministerial Council. Finally, there is one vacancy on the board of Foras na Gaeilge, which falls to be nominated in due course by the Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure.
