While the Department's offices are State owned, my Department has responsibility for the day to day maintenance and general up-keep of the offices, including heating and lighting. With regard to the Department's offices, the cost for building maintenance, including light and heat was €2,726,061 in 2009.With regard to the bodies under the aegis of my Department, the expenditure incurred in relation to day to day maintenance including energy/fuel is a matter for each agency and this information is not collated centrally.
