I wish to inform the Deputy that the person to whom he refers was granted permission to remain in the State under the revised arrangements for the non-EEA parents of children born in the State prior to 1 January, 2005, known as the IBC/05 scheme. This permission was granted in September of 2005 and expired on 16 September, 2007. I should add that the person concerned did not apply for renewal of this permission in 2007. However, I am informed that she attended her local Garda Immigration Office on 19 August, 2008 and was granted permission to remain in the State until 19 November, 2010.
