Based on the information supplied by the Deputy I am informed that Visa Officials in my Department can find no record of current visa applications for the persons referred to. Where an on-line visa application is made the applicant is provided with a unique visa transaction number for reference purposes. In this instance the reference numbers provided by the Deputy do not correspond in type with the unique visa transaction numbers normally provided.

I can however confirm for the Deputy that the current processing time for visa application received in the Visa Office, New Delhi is between 5 and 25 working days. The time frame for decision is determined by the type of visa sought. It should be borne in mind that a decision within this time frame is based on all the required documentation having been submitted with no queries outstanding.
