Question 204: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the current practice of instructing patients to dispose of crutches once their ailment has passed and the rationale in public hospitals not seeking to recover such items; her estimate of the cost of this practice in a full year; and if she will examine if there are savings to be made in amending this policy in favour of a recycling re-use initiative.
