Question 133: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, further to Parliamentary Question No. 131 of 26 May 2010, the number of prosecutions that were taken by the National Employment Rights Authority against employers in the hotel and accommodation sector for breaches of employment legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I informed the House in my previous response, a total of 87 employment rights prosecutions were initiated by the National Employment Rights Authority, NERA, in 2009. Of these, three related to the hotels sector, one each in counties Dublin, Laois and Westmeath respectively.
