Question 326: To ask the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport the number of special advisers her Department has had since June 2007; the names of same; the amount each has claimed in expenses in each of the past three years; the amount that has been spent on travel, including foreign travel, and entertainment for each adviser in each of the past three years; if she will provide a detailed breakdown of these costs; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Since June 2007, my Department has had four special advisors namely, Mr. Frank Lahiffe, Mr. Tom Rowley (advisors to the late Minister Brennan), Ms Michelle Hoctor (advisor to former Minister Cullen) and my advisor, Ms Averil Power. The total amount claimed on expenses (which would include mileage, subsistence and entertainment) for each year since June 2007 and the related breakdown is detailed below:
