Question 386: To ask the Minister for Social Protection if there are any plans to enter into a bilateral social security agreement with South Africa; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25099/10]

There are no plans at present to enter into a bilateral social security agreement with South Africa. No approach has been made to my Department by the South African authorities in this regard.
